Costa Navarino Holds Educational Program on Messinia’s Nature and History

Costa Navarino, located in Messinia in southwestern Peloponnese, for the sixth consecutive year is holding an environmental program, addressed to high school and elementary students of the 5th and 6th grade, focusing on the nature and history of the region of Messinia.

Titled “I learn and promote the nature and history of Messinia”, the program is currently underway at the Navarino Natura Hall, an interactive environmental exhibition center located in Navarino Dunes, at Costa Navarino.

Following the especially designed trails, children learn more on how to protect the environment and become familiar with the essence of sustainability and the unique nature of Messinia. They participate in team experiments and depict their impressions on drawings, collages and other constructions, as well as on their writings.

Students and educators have embraced the program, as participants have exceeded 3,700 so far, an announcement said.

The initiative is part of a collaboration of Costa Navarino and the Social and Education Policy Department of the University of the Peloponnese.
