Blue Star 2 Begins Piraeus-Samos Route

Attica Group, a subsidiary of Marfin Investment Group, on Tuesday announced the launch of the direct Piraeus to Samos ferry route with the Blue Star 2 vessel. The journey takes a mere six hours and 45 minutes.

The ultra-modern ferry vessel Blue Star 2 will depart every Tuesday and Sunday from Piraeus to Karlovassi and from Piraeus to Vathi on Thursdays.

The new route connects Samos to Kos and Rhodes three times a week, and to Karpathos once a week, and continues to provide high quality services to island residents, visitors and traders.

The ferry vessel has service speeds of up to 28 knots, a 1,854 passenger capacity, 463 beds in 176 cabins and a garage for 780 private vehicles or 90 private vehicles and 140 trucks.

The Blue Star 2 boasts an a-la-carte restaurant as well as a self-service one, three coffee bars, a gift shop, a first aid shop, lounges, airplane type seats and all modern amenities for a comfortable journey.

Attica Group engages in passenger shipping via the Superfast Ferries, Blue Star Ferries and Africa Moroco Links (AML) companies, operating a total of 15 ships that provide modern, high quality transportation services in Greece and abroad.
