Sky Express to Operate Three New Exclusive Routes in Greece
Sky Express will operate three new exclusive routes in Greece from April 1, 2017, until March 31, 2021, the airline said in an announcement on Wednesday.
Following a tender process of the Greek Infrastructure and Transport Ministry, Sky Express is the exclusive carrier of the lines Thessaloniki-Skyros, Limnos-Mytilini-Chios-Samos-Rhodes and Corfu-Aktio-Kefalonia-Zakynthos for the next four years.
In addition, Sky Express last week announced the launch of new direct flights from Heraklion Crete to Paros (every Wednesday and Sunday), Ikaria (every Wednesday and Sunday) and Mytilini (every Tuesday and Saturday) in July and August.
The new flights, which are available for bookings, enhance the existing year-round connections of Heraklion to Athens (daily), Rhodes (daily) and Kos (three times a week).
Sky Express was recently honored for the second time by Athens International Airport (AIA) as the “2016 Fastest Growing Airline in a Thin Route” for achieving the highest percentage annual passenger growth last year.
