The Creta Maris Beach Resort on Crete recently received the 2016 Award of Excellence from Booking.com, one of the world’s most recognized online accommodations booking platform. The resort’s review score 9.1 out of 10 is a symbol of excellence as a best guest experience provider among 355,535 properties in 205 countries around the world.

“Every year we set new goals in order to have even happier guests. We are very joyful that the guest satisfaction rate is increasing year after year”, said Nikos Vlassiadis, the general manager of Creta Maris.

Creta Maris’ score 9.1 is based on 350 total guest reviews during the year 2016.

“We are thankful for this distinction, while we set our new goals to become even better in the future, by offering to our guests our best services highlighting our Cretan tradition”, Vlassiadis added.

To be recognized with an Award of Excellence, properties had to have an average review score of 8.0 or higher based on at least 10 reviews. Only customers that have actually stayed at an accommodation can leave a review of their experience on Booking.com. After they have checked out of the property, they are invited to rate their accommodation experience against six categories: cleanliness, comfort, location, facilities, staff and value for money. As these reviews are never edited or adjusted in any way, travellers can reference them for an authentic account of what the real guest experience is like at every place to stay on Booking.com.
