Asteroupoli: Christmas Village Brings Holiday Cheer to Ioannina!

The Asteroupoli Cristmas Village will be open until January 8, 2017!

Asteroupoli, Greece’s largest Christmas Village in Ioannina, recently opened its doors with activities for all to bring in the holiday cheer.

A large open air ice rink, festive fairground rides (carousel and roller coaster), a Christmas market, a chocolate factory and museum, Santa’s house, a play hall and live music in the entertainment marquee, are among the Christmas delights on offer.

The village’s official opening included the launch of a hot air balloon against a brilliant and colorful background of fireworks.

Like every year, the Asteroupoli Christmas Village is supporting Floga (a Pan Hellenic parents association of children with cancer), ELEPAP rehabilitation centre for the disabled, SOS Children’s Villages Greece, the Ark of the World organization and the Ioannina Peribleptos Parish Care.

The Asteroupoli Cristmas Village will be open until January 8, 2017.
