Pioneering Greeks: Christos Papadimitriou, CEO of Family Business ‘Papadimitriou S.A.’

This week we introduce Christos Papadimitriou, the managing director and CEO of Papadimitriou S.A., a family business established back in 1939 by his grandfather and which today is one of the biggest food companies in Greece, with a clear export orientation.

Although Christos is very young, he has managed to further expand the company’s dynamic growth, based on the values his grandfather and his father shared all these years: production of pioneering and top quality products based on the high nutritional Mediterranean values and respecting consumers, suppliers and employees.

Behind every product of Papadimitriou S.A. is the persistence of staying faithful to Greek heritage and sourcing raw materials from the local agricultural production in Kalamata, as the company has been doing since 1939.

The Papadimitriou products have won many awards in several food exhibitions around the world — such as the SIAL PARIS 2012 Innovation Award and the GASTRONOMOS (highly acclaimed Greek culinary magazine) Quality Awards 2010 — certifying the high nutritional value of Greek products that are produced with love and constant effort.

Inspired by the dynamism and creativity of the Greek entrepreneurial spirit, LoveGreece was founded in 2013 as an initiative to boost and promote the country’s image abroad by profiling talented and successful Greeks.
