Influential Journalists, Bloggers are Visiting the South Aegean Islands (and will tell us all about it)

AEGEAN ISLANDS PR AND BLOGGERS_1The islands of the South Aegean are expected to take social media and news websites by storm this summer.

Journalists from renowned international media outlets and top bloggers with a high audience are currently being hosted on the islands of the Cyclades and the Dodecanese as part of the tourism strategy launched between the Region of South Aegean, the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) and Marketing Greece.

The international journalists and travel bloggers will get to know Greece’s sun and sea, gastronomy, history, music and culture and then create engaging content on news websites and social media accounts on facebook, instagram, Youtube and Twitter (hashtag #aegeanlikenoother) with high traffic. All posts of the bloggers will be reposted on the platform blogtrotters.gr.

The aim of the FAM (familiarization) trips is for the journalists and bloggers to create a “digital scrapbook” of the South Aegean that will contribute to the promotion of the islands.

The FAM trips kicked off last month and will continue until the end of the season.

According to the Region of the South Aegean, representatives from the following media and blogs are in Greece or will come to the country by the end of the season: Laura, BBC Good Food, Vanity Fair, The Telegraph, dpa, Thomas Cook Travel, SRT, Touristik Aktuell, Schleswig Holstein am Sonntag, Neue Westfalische Urlaubtipp, Freizet Kurier, Passauer Neue Presse, Robb Report, The Guardian, InStyle, UK Celebrity Trip, Emily Luxton Travels, The Ballon Diary, Miss Everywhere, Lorna Luxe, LydiaElise Millen, Ali Gorndon Fitness blogger, Fashion Mumblr, La penderie de Chloe, Matiamu, Carly Rowena, Leon Bustin, Carnet Prune, The Brunette, Carnets de Traverse and 104.6 RTL Radio.
