Eriana_Screenshot (2)Eiriana Luxury Suites, located on Milos in the Cyclades, is carving the way for environmentally friendly accommodation, with the launch of its own application that allows guests to order breakfast and also receive useful information about the destination. The new app is for android and iOS mobile phones, created by SOFTWeb Adaptive Solutions.

“The idea behind the Eiriana application was born from negative experiences at other hotels, as well as at our own, where the use of traditional methods for ordering breakfast — the printed form — would be the source of many errors and misunderstandings on a daily basis”, the co-owner and manager of Eiriana Luxury Suites, Anna Karamitsou, said.

Upon arrival at the hotel, guests at Eiriana Luxury Suites can download the app in Greek or English. Besides being able to order their breakfast directly, they can also gain access to a wealth of information including boat, plane and bus timetables, the weather and Milos.

The app offers information regarding the hotel and also gives guests direct contact with the accommodation and its social media channels.

Eriana_Screenshot (4)_1“Beyond the scope of simplifying the breakfast procedure, moving in line with the technological advances of the 21st Century, our long-term aim is to become an entirely ‘paperless’ and environmentally friendly accommodation, eliminating paper usage in all our procedures, from check in to check out”, Mrs Karamitsou said.

According to Mrs Karamitsou, the additional features of the application will act as a support mechanism for the hotels’ reception staff, removing the need for printing timetables, reducing time wasted on finding up to date weather information and simplifying the sometimes difficult task of providing  a guest with directions to the hotel.

The application also incorporates a navigational tool, not only allowing guests to easily direct themselves to Eiriana Luxury Suites upon arrival at Milos port or airport, but also giving them a point of reference throughout their stay, at any location they find themselves on the island.
