Take a Bit of Greece Home with Gogreek Miniatures, Olive Oil & Ouzo
When innovation, creativity and passion unite the result is bound to be impressive. That’s what gogreek is all about as local products are adorned in traditional outfits promoting both the Greek item and the history.
Elina Psimiti and Giorgos Yionas put the sorry tales of crisis behind them, turned to Greek history and mythology for inspiration, and embarked on a creative journey titled “gogreek-the collectibles”, which for the last year and a half has gained impressive ground clinching a series of awards in the process.
Available across Greece, on board cruise ships, at wine and liquor stores, at Athens International Airport and as far as Taiwan, the US and Australia, “Oh… my Gods!”, “Oh… my Hero!”, the “Tagari bag” and the Evzonas and Amalia ouzo miniatures promise to get you smiling.
“The idea was to create products that were small and light, so that travelers could carry them back home and gradually gogreek miniatures took their spot in homes around the world,” Ms Psimiti said.
In the meantime, the pair was able to finance an online store and site where one can find information on Greece and Greek products.
