Greece to Attend Israel’s Tourism Fair IMTM 2016
The secretary general of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO), Dimitris Tryfonopoulos, will depart on Monday for Israel to attend the opening ceremony of the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM), which will run February 9-10 at the TLV Convention Center in Tel Aviv.
During his stay in Tel Aviv, Mr. Tryfonopoulos will attend meetings with Israel’s Tourism Minister Yariv Levin and leading representatives of the country’s tourism sector.
The GNTO attends IMTM every year, representing Greece with its own stand. “The GNTO’s participation this year will be enhanced, since Greece gives special importance to Israel’s outgoing tourism”, an announcement from the organization said.
In its 22nd year, IMTM will welcome delegations from 48 countries, a record number of foreign representatives in recent years.
The exhibition’s theme this year will be “Innovation in Tourism” and include the awarding of prizes for specially developed apps for the annual event of Israel’s tourism industry.
