Grekland Panorama: Stockholm Gets Ready to Welcome Third Greek Expo

The third edition of the Grekland Panorama, the exclusive travel fair for Greece and Cyprus in Stockholm, Sweden, is expected to attract even more Scandinavians than last year’s event which had seen visitor numbers reach some 11,000.

Grekland Panromara 2016Organized by tourism consultants North Events, the 3rd Grekland Panorama Med Cypern will run from Saturday, February 13, until Sunday February 14, from 10am, at the Ericsson Globe. Admission is free for the public who will be able to enjoy several activities and events, large holiday offers, Greek cuisine and traditional Greek products, tastings-cooking demonstrations and special tourism themes.

According to the operator of the Ericsson Globe, Globen Arena, the Grekland Panorama Med Cypern is the largest exhibition hosted so far in its facilities. The fair has emerged as one of the leading tourism events in Stockholm and has established itself as one of the largest exhibitions organized annually in the country.

“The success of the exhibition is even more important when keeping in mind that this is a tourism fair only for Greece and Cyprus”, says North Events.

All eyes on Greece

Greece’s alternative tourism, trekking tourism and marine tourism forms are expected to be the hit of the fair this year. Aiming to strengthen the promotion of Greece’s marine tourism, the awarded Blue Flag marinas of Agios Nikolaos, Kos, Leros and Porto Carras will also participate in the fair.

Moreover, participating hotels and resorts include Costa Navarino (The Romanos, A Luxury Collection Resort & The Westin Resort), Sani Resort, Blue Gr, Kipriotis Hotels, Louis Hotels, Pap Hotels and Aquila Hotels & Resorts.

Regions to be showcased at the fair include Crete, Peloponnese, South Aegean (Dodecanese & Cyclades), Central Macedonia and Thessaly. From Greece’s local tourism authorities and municipalities, exhibitors include Kos, the Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (ACVB), Hersonissos, Paxos and Antipaxos, Kavala, Thassos, Skiathos, Alonissos, Kefalonia, Tinos, Sifnos, Parga and Halkidiki.

For the first time the Grekland Panorama Med Cypern fair will host a special section on yachting tourism where several companies will be available to inform the Swedish public on exciting ideas in regards to sailing in Greece. Participating companies will include Variety Cruises, Cruisemar Tours, ND Sails, Ionian Breeze, El Yachting, Hermes Yachting, and TUI Marine Division with The Moorings, Sunsail and Leboat.

Another exciting first-time addition to this year’s Grekland Panorama Med Cypern is a stand dedicated to Greece’s thermal springs, where the Hellenic Association of Municipalities with Thermal Springs will have a strong presence.

Aegean Airlines, Tal Aviation and SAS – Scandinavian Airlines will once again be present in the fair.

The 3rd Grekland Panorama Med Cypern is supported by Apollo, TUI Nordic, VING, Airtours, Solresor, Tema Resor and Detur and held under the auspices of the Greek Tourism Ministry, the Greek National Tourism Organization, the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the Hellenic Hotel Federation, the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies (HATTA) and the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce.
