Thessaloniki Dance Festival 2016 to Hold Six Competitions in Two Days
Dance seminars, exciting parties and six competitions will be featured at the “TDF – Thessaloniki Dance Festival”, the largest festival of competitive dancing in Greece, to be held for the second consecutive year in Thessaloniki on April 9-10, 2016.
The festival, which aims to present dance as a sport other than art, will feature more than 1,000 dancers from 33 countries and 28 international judges.
Six original dance competitions under one name — TDF — will take place during the two days of the festival: Ballroom, Hip Hop, Salsa, Argentinian Tango and for the first time Contemporary and Oriental.
Besides the highest level of competitive dancing, the festival’s program will also include seminars from top-class instructors and exciting parties.
The festival will take place at the I. Vellidis Congress Hall and pavilion 8 and 12 on the grounds of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center.
Organizers All Star Dance and TIF-Helexpo expect this year’s festival to attract some 3,000 spectators.
The event will be held under the auspices of the National DanceSport Federation of Greece and the World DanceSport Federation.
The TDF’s full program of events will be announced soon.
