With a choir, Cretan lyra and flute, the Society of Cretans in Traditional Costume on Tuesday sang traditional Christmas carols to Greek Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura at the Tourism Ministry.

Following the exchange of Cretan serenades (mantinades) and wishes for the new year, Ms Kountoura underlined that 2015 brought record arrivals and revenue to Greece and said she hoped next year would be an even better year.

“We wish 2016 to be an even better year and for Greece to be established among the most popular destinations in the world”, she said.
