Trip2taste Teams Up with Kir-Yianni Winery for Enotourism Promo
Wine and culinary event organizer Trip2taste has joined forces with the Kir-Yianni winery in efforts to promote enotourism in the Macedonian region of Naoussa, known for its fine red wines.
“The aim of our partnership with Trip2taste is to highlight Naoussa as a leading enotourism destination in Northern Greece. This will be achieved through special wine events to be held at the estate’s new visitor center, to be completed in the spring of 2016,” Stelios Boutaris, co-owner of the Kir-Yianni winery, said.
Located in the village of Yiannakochori, the Kir-Yianni visitor center will be overseen by Marina Boutari, founder and CEO of Trip2taste.
“This collaboration is a triple pleasure: firstly, because I will be yet again working beside my favorite cousin and the Kir-Yianni dynamic team, secondly, because I will be setting up the visitor center from scratch – something I know well and love, and thirdly, because I will be working in a vineyard that I am particularly fond of as I have many of my childhood memories from there. Good luck to all of us,” Mrs Boutari said of the joint initiative.
The first wine event was held earlier this month marking the European Day of Wine Tourism, celebrated across wineries in Europe on the second Sunday of November.
In the meantime, the “Kir-Yianni Wine & Cheese Game” will take place on December 13, at 1pm, as part of the “Naoussa, The City of Wine” events to take place on December 11-13 at the Vetlans cultural center.
Reservations for the event open on December 1. Book by calling Trip2taste on 210-723-9791 (Monday-Friday bεtween 9am and 5pm).
Founded in 2013, Trip2taste is involved with food and wine tours and events planning. The company was awarded Silver for Gastronomy Tourism at the annual Tourism Awards 2015 earlier this year.
