Join the Fun! Athens Celebrates on October 31!
On October 31, World Cities Day*, Athens will turn into one big party zone to celebrate the Athenian spirit with the rest of the globe.
The Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) has announced several street events and celebrations of all kinds that will be happening at the same time all around the Greek capital.
Through day-long street events and parties, SETE aims to promote each and every one of the unlimited choices Athens has to offer and inform all that “This is #TheAthensWorld”.
To sample the unique buzz, the music and the tastes of Athens at its very best and enjoy every moment to the full, all visitors need is a wristband!
A specially designed wristband, available to all guests, will be distributed a day earlier at Athens International Airport, in hotels and selected parts of the city.
Those wearing the wristband will have free entrance to many museums and access to special offers at some of the most popular bar and restaurants in the city.

The United Nations has designated every 31st of October as World Cities Day. The Day is expected to greatly promote the international community’s interest in global urbanization, push forward cooperation among countries in meeting opportunities and addressing challenges of urbanization, and contributing to sustainable urban development around the world.
