The Hilton Athens is going pink for a week to help raise awareness and send out the message that prevention and early detection can save lives.

HILTON-BCA AFISATo spread the word even further, the Hilton Athens invites you to upload images of the #PinkHilton on Instagram starting today through to October 25, and make the message viral. Those capturing the best “pink” shots will win prizes: winner — an annual “black” subscription to Hiltonia Spa, complete with use of gym, pools, sauna, steam room and hot tub. Second prize an overnight stay in a junior suite for two, breakfast included, and third prize, a dinner for two at the Galaxy Bar & Restaurant.

Meanwhile, for the whole month, Hilton Athens offers 50 percent of proceeds from the Galaxy Bar’s “pink cocktail” and the Byzantino Restaurant’s pink Pavlova dessert to support EMEIS, an NGO of volunteer doctors operating on financially weak and uninsured women suffering from breast cancer.

Hilton Athens has joined the Estée Lauder Companies’ BCA Campaign, launched in 2000 by Evelyn Lauder in order to bring attention to the importance of breast health and early detection. Since then, over 200 buildings and landmarks in over 70 countries have been illuminated spreading the message that “every action counts”.

Landmarks illuminated in Greece thus far include the Zappeion Megaron, Lycabettus Hill, the Grande Bretagne Hotel, the Museum of Cycladic Art, the White Tower in Thessaloniki, the Venetian fortress of Koules in Heraklion and the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, among others.

In the meantime, make sure to tag your Instagram posts with #BCAstrength, until World Cancer Day on February 4.
