Greek ‘Opentourism’ Network to Celebrate World Tourism Day 2015 on Skopelos
The Greek “Opentourism” network of professionals will celebrate World Tourism Day (WTD) 2015 this year with an event concerning the tourism development of the Sporades island complex.
The “Opentourism Sporades – Skopelos ΙΙ” will be held on September 27 at the Cine Orfeas on the island of Skopelos at 11 am with the support of the Skopelos Hoteliers Association and the municipality’s tourism board.
The event has been listed on the UNWTO’s world map of events since Opentourism’s professionals wish to share their WTD plans with the global tourism community.
In its sixth year, OpenTourism is an initiative by sector professionals who aim through innovation and open dialogue to address challenges and promote tourism-specific knowledge in ways that will ensure the highest reward.

WTD 2015 will be celebrated across the globe under the theme “One Billion Tourists, One Billion Opportunities”.
WTD is held annually on September 27 and fosters awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value. But above all, WTD is a celebration.
