UCLA Students Gain Insight into Greek Tourism
As part of its ongoing awareness-raising activities with regards to Greece’s tourism potential and the impact of recent developments, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) held a meeting with 43 UCLA students earlier this month.
GNTO President Elissavet Chatzinikolaou met with the students in order to gain and provide insight into the sector, stressing that Greece managed to weather the storm this summer, evidence that it has achieved a strong brand name.
Through its program, the GNTO aims to promote Greece as a leading all-year-round tourism option, approaching the US market through its opinion leaders, as well as by organizing awareness events at targeted universities.
The GNTO presentation included Greek tourism offerings and the diverse range of products, figures, development models as well as promotional and international placement strategies.
Several of the students, already working in tourism, expressed a keen interest in investment opportunities, the extension of the tourism season, the development of medical tourism and making Greece an attractive film production destination.
