Greek Ports to Receive Funding for Infrastructure Improvements
Greece will upgrade the infrastructure of 49 ports with funds of 4.3 million euros, according to a decision of the country’s caretaker ministers for shipping, Christos Zois and economy, Nikos Christodoulakis.
According to the decision announced on Wednesday, a total of 58 interventions will be made in 49 ports that face infrastructure problems. The ports to receive funds were selected by the Shipping Ministry in consultation with the regions, after problems were prioritized.
The ports to receive funding include those of Zakynthos, Agios Konstantinos, Glyfa, Stylida, Souda, Kissamos, Sfakia, Gavdos, Halkida, Edipsos, Kimi, Karystos, Pylos, Serifos, Samos, Pythagorion, Aegio, Kiato, Ouranoupoli, Ammouliani and Thassos.
