Ryanair Announces Extra Chania-Athens Flight On Election Day, Sept 20, in Greece
Low cost Irish airline Ryanair announced on Wednesday that an additional scheduled flight will run on the Chania – Athens service on Sunday, September 20, to facilitate the travel of Greeks that vote in the country’s capital city.
“Due to high demand, we are increasing flights between Chania to Athens from two to three a day for Sunday, September 20, the day of the elections”, Ryanair’s communication director, Robin Kiely, said in an announcement.
“Our double daily connection from Crete to Athens is particularly popular among the Greeks and with such an important day approaching, Ryanair is adding an extra flight to facilitate Greek voters.”
On election day, September 20, three scheduled flights will be available on the Chania – Athens service, with flights from Chania, Crete, taking off at 06:40, 15:10 and 20:55 and from Athens at 08:05, 13:45 and 22:20.
