Ellinair is Offering 10,000 One-way Tickets for Domestic Travel at Special Prices
Greek carrier Ellinair has announced that it will charge the cheapest fare of 20 euros on 10,000 one-way tickets for domestic flights.
A Mouzenidis Group airline, Ellinair said it will absorb the additional charges to the final ticket price due to the increase in the value added tax (VAT) rate from 13 to 23 percent.
Final prices are set at 32 euros for 5,500 one-way tickets for domestic travel from Thessaloniki, Zakynthos, Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini and Heraklion, and 50,64 euros for 4,500 tickets one-way tickets for domestic travel from Athens. The variation in the final price is the result of airport taxes.
In a statement, Ellinair said that the initiative is aimed at facilitating passengers and boosting the tourism season.
“Here at Ellinair, we consider it our duty to support people who wish to travel, despite the difficult conditions prevailing in our country this year and we are proving this in practice,” the airline’s commercial director, Stavros Daliakas, said.
The offer is valid until September 6.
