‘The North Face Zagori Mountain Running’: Athletes Prepare to Discover Their Limits!

“The North Face Zagori Mountain Running” event in Greece is gearing up to welcome elite mountain running athletes from Greece and abroad.

Professional and amateur runners will run to discover their limits through the Tymfi and Zagori trails on July 24-26.

Registration for the event continues with a high interest from Greece and abroad. According to organizers The North Face, more than 1,300 athletes have already registered.

Participation in the TERA race of 80km has exceeded all expectations since registrations are now closed for the route. Similarly, an incredibly high interest has been expressed for the marathon route of 42km and only a small number of entries are still available. The 21km and 10km routes have attracted the most massive participation.

The sports tourism award-winning event has already attracted the interest of foreign athletes from 13 countries: USA, Australia, Argentina, England, Germany, Israel, Italy, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Albania.

The fifth edition of the “The North Face Zagori Mountain Running” event will welcome some of the best mountain runners such as Theodorakakos, Kalofyris, Giovanelli, Arkoumanis, Kostopoulos, Stefanis, Kourkourikis and Dialektos in the men’s division and Kalogirou, Baratsa, Papapostolou, Bika and Tziatzia in the women’s division.

The start and finish of the 80km route will take place at Tsepelovo on Saturday, July 25. On the same day, the 42km route will start at Kipoi, Zagori, and finish at Tsepelovo. On Sunday, July 26, the action will take place once again at Kipoi, Zagori, for the 21km and 10km races. More information about the routes can be found here.

The “North Face Zagori Mountain Running” never stops innovating, since all athletes who manage to finish the 80km and 42km routes on time, will receive their medal along with a “finishers T-shirt”, specially designed by the organizers.
