Ermionida Taps into Culture to Lure Visitors
The Ermionida municipality, located in the Peloponnese, aims to maintain its growing popularity as a tourist destination with culture as its driving force.
In this direction, the local theatre troupe will hold a press conference on June 24 at the Ianos bookstore in central Athens, for the launch of its annual “Performances in Ermionida” theater festival.
Founded in 2014, the 2nd “Performances in Ermionida” fest aims to promote the region through its theater events adding another aspect to its already growing tourism, but also to initiate actions across its popular seaside towns that highlight the arts but also bring creative forces to the forefront.
This year’s program is a tribute to female monologues with 10 performances featuring leading Greek actresses at the ARTiki Cultural Center, formerly a dairy factory, in the town of Kranidi between August 21 and September 20.
