IHU Offers Master’s Degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management
The Thessaloniki-based International Hellenic University (IHU) announced that it is now awarding an MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management for those wishing to pursue a career or gain additional specialization in travel, tourism or related industries.
The two-year post-graduate program, aimed primarily at students or business executives and organizations wishing to broaden their specialization, provides expertise in tourism with a practical orientation towards management and strategies in the tourism sector on national and international levels.
The program’s creators stress that Greece is the ideal location to study due to its extensive and diverse tourism product, contributing 16.3 percent to GDP and set to offer jobs to some 850,000 people by 2024.
The classes run daily in the evenings between November and April and are conducted in English. Courses include: Ηοspitality and Tourism Operating Systems, Tourism Management, Financial Management for Tourism Development, Services Marketing, Quantitative and Research Methods/Tools for Business Analysis, Strategic Management in Tourism, Environmental Management in Tourism/Sustainable Tourism, Human Resources Management in Tourism.
The curriculum also includes interesting electives such as: Alternative Forms of Tourism, Marketing of Destinations, Tourism Product Development, Cultural Heritage Tourism and Environmental Legislation.
