Donning his toque and apron, Papaioannou launches specialty seafood restaurant “Armyra” at the Navarino Dunes on the Costa Navarino premises, serving only the finest and freshest produce of the Greek seas.

Papaioannou, who learned the secrets of the trade from his father and their family-owned Michelin Guide noted fish tavern on the coast of Piraeus, will use the best ingredients and world-famous extra virgin olive oil from the Messinian Gulf to create mouth-watering delights for the most demanding palates. Top choices include grilled fish of the day, mussels with ginger, and salads with sea fennel and local “talagani cheese”.

“At the Armyra we work with original, fresh flavors and local products. With seafood as our primary focus, we present new gastronomic creations that highlight the unique ingredients of each region,” chef Papaioannou said.

Located in Messinia, southern Greece, the Westin Resort Costa Navarino is one of Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ two five-star hotels overlooking the Ionian Sea.
