Blogtrotters 2015: Thessaloniki, Halkidiki and Mt. Olympus Get Ready to Go Viral

blogtrottersA select group of 45 travel, lifestyle and urban bloggers from Germany, France, UK, Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Poland are taking part in the “Blogtrotters 2015” annual event of Marketing Greece to experience Thessaloniki, Halkidiki and Mount Olympus and tell the world all about it!

Scheduled to take place from June 17 until June 20, the central message of this year’s Blogtrotter event is “Young at Heart”.

Unique experiences that reveal the youthful vibe of Thessaloniki and the majesty of Halkidiki’s beaches have been planned exclusively for the Blogtrotters 2015 event by the Region of Central Macedonia and the Municipality of Thessaloniki.

The event will kick off on Wednesday, June 17, with an interactive workshop at the Museum of Photography in Thessaloniki. The Blogtrotter program further includes tours to historical and cultural monuments of the city and gastronomic tours and visits to select creative locations.

Meanwhile, while the group of bloggers discover Thessaloniki and Halkidiki, a special branch will break away and head south to Mount Olympus and the coastal area of Pieria where they will experience the unique features of the destination through hiking activities, canyoning and diving.

The Blogtrotters 2015 event will wrap up on Friday, June 19, with a Halkidiki-style beach party.
