Civil Aviation Workers Strike May Put Damper on Holy Spirit Holiday Weekend
The Federation οf Associations οf Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (OSYPA) on Friday announced a 48-hour strike for Sunday May 31 and Monday June 1.
Although the OSYPA federation does not include air-traffic controllers, the strike could cause disruption to those travelling for the Holy Spirit Monday holiday on June 1.
OSYPA is pressing for immediate state funding to improve airport infrastructure.
The civil aviation workers are also demanding that workers receive several months of unpaid wages and for more staff to be hired.
