AEGEAN Rolls Out New Staff Uniforms
From April 1, the pilots, cabin crew members and airport ground handling personnel of AEGEAN welcomed passengers in their new stylish uniforms, designed by London-based Greek fashion designer Sophia Kokosalaki. The new uniform is functional and elegant with a hint of Grecian classicism.
Bringing together the company’s corporate colors — deep blue, red and grey — and Kokosalaki’s designer identity, the new uniforms represent more than just a new look as they also signal the start of a new chapter for Aegean Airlines.
In choosing Sophia Kokosalaki to design the company’s new uniforms, AEGEAN reaffirms its commitment to promote the work of Greeks around the world, hence highlighting the Greek nature of its operations.
“Our Company’s Greek character always pushes us to promote and showcase the work of those who share the same values with us”, Dimitris Gerogiannis, AEGEAN’s CEO, said.
“We are very happy about our collaboration with Sophia Kokosalaki and the new dynamism she brings to our image by creating our new staff uniforms.”
The design of the new uniforms combine the Greek element, promoted by AEGEAN and the fashion designer’s love for Greece, which is her point of reference in all her creations.
According to the fashion designer, modernity, realism and quality were of major importance.
“The image of AEGEAN is one of a dynamic, modern, Greek airline and I tried to reflect and convey that in my designs”, Ms. Kokosalaki said.
“I admire AEGEAN for the ethos that runs through all their activities and their trajectory and growth they have achieved over the years… I would like people to see Greece also as a modern, cultural and sophisticated society.”
