Aktina Caters to Travel Needs for Expo Milano 2015
Leading Greek tour agency Aktina Travel announced that it is the official reseller for this year’s EXPO Milano 2015, to kick off in the Italian city on May 1.
The Athens-based agency aims to meet the high demand in Greece and will be offering special and customized package deals for professional and individual travelers.
The central theme for this year’s Milan expo is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”, providing visitors the chance to explore and propose solutions to such universal problems as hunger and the repletion of energy resources.
An innovation this year is the “clusters” project, aimed at including countries that don’t have their own pavilions. These exhibition spaces will bring together countries that all produce, or have a relationship with, a specific food. Within each cluster, videos, installations and photo exhibitions will illustrate the history of the food or kind of food. Cooking demonstrations and tastings will take place, and there will also be a market, where visitors can discover these foods, presented directly by the people who cultivate them.
Expo Milano 2015 will run through to October 31, and is set to welcome over 20 million visitors from some 140 participating countries.
