Erasmus Students to Exchange Ideas at 1st Training Forum in Athens
The 1st ESN Greece Training National Platform will take place on March 28-29 in Athens, organized by the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) and the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). The two-day event will be held at the TEI campus in Aigaleo, western Athens, and will include participants from international ESN branches.
Issues to be addressed include the training of new members, experiential workshops, the exchange of knowhow, preparation for the ESN Annual General Meeting, introducing students to the ongoing “exchangeability project” as well as to the volunteer SocialErasmus Project.
The ESN is a Europe-wide student association aiming to provide support and develop intercultural understanding through student exchange. It currently has 13,500 members from over 450 local sections in 37 countries in universities, polytechnics and colleges.
The Athens TEI is Greece’s third largest institution of higher learning offering undergraduate and postgraduate studies, with approximately 35,000 students, a regular faculty of 600 and a temporary faculty of 1700 academics.
The Athens TEI is one of 21 student unions participating in ESN Greece, part of the ESN international network.
ESN Greece is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit network working towards the smooth integration of foreign students in the local community. Local associations operate in Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Patra, Crete, Lamia, Larissa, Kozani and Komotini.
