Famed Chef Botrini Takes Over Kitchen at Knossos Beach Hotel’s ‘Swell’ Restaurant

Luxury Crete-based hotel Knossos Beach in Iraklio, welcomes Michelin Star-winning chef Ettore Botrini to its in-house restaurant “Swell”.

The Greek-Italian chef has created a special menu for “Swell” integrating the best recipes from across Greece into traditional Cretan cuisine. The menu includes the finest local products, herbs and spices used in imaginative ways: cheese and deli meats, fresh breads, inventive salads and intricate desserts all made with Cretan extra virgin olive oil promise a rewarding dining experience.

Built in 1971, the family-owned Knossos Beach Bungalows & Suites is located on a natural sandy bay with shallow crystal clear waters. The four-star hotel provides guests with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. Besides offering traditional Cretan hospitality and accommodation, it is also an ideal choice for conference and company events.

Brought up on the Ionian island of Corfu, Chef Botrini studied Business Management and Administration at the School of Tourism in Switzerland.
