ITB 2015: Aegean Airlines Shows Support to Greek Tourism
Aegean Airlines will invest in brand new aircraft this year and launch multiple new routes and services to support the quality of the Greek tourism product, the company’s CEO Dimitris Gerogiannis informed German journalists on Tuesday.
While speaking during a press conference in Berlin, Germany, prior to this year’s ITB 2015, Mr. Gerogiannis highlighted the improvement of tourism services in Greece and the positive experience of German customers who visited the country in 2014 as reasons for the country to expect another strong year in 2015.
“We make sure our customers get the first positive welcome to our country when they step onto our aircraft presenting local products and areas of Greece,” he said.
This year the Greek carrier offers more direct services to Germany than ever before.
“We connect as many as 7 German cities with direct flights to Athens of course, but also to our regional bases of Heraklion, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Corfu and Kalamata. A total of 25 direct routes from Germany to Greece. Finally, from Athens we can connect to the smallest island with 33 domestic destinations, offering the chance for unique experiences in new undiscovered places.”
