Attica Shows ‘Cultural Side’ at Austrian Tourism Expo
Aiming to establish itself as a favorite destination for Austrian tourists, the Region of Attica is presenting its cultural attractions and city break options at the Ferien-Messe tourism exhibition that kicked off today in Vienna.
Ferien-Messe is the international event for holidays, travel and leisure, and the leading public access tourism trade fair in Austria with more than 700 exhibitors from over 70 countries presenting popular holiday destinations.
The Region of Attica is participating in Ferien-Messe as a co-exhibitor in the Greek National Tourism Organization stand and has included the islands of the Saronic Gulf among its comparative advantages.
According to the region, the flow of Austrian tourists with a strong interest in the cultural attractions of Athens-Attica has steadily increased over the last two years, while there is also an increase in flights to the Greek capital.
“The Region of Attica seeks to boost this data by putting the focus on its diverse tourism product that combines a one-of-a-kind culture with architecture, gastronomy, theater, luxury, sun, sea, conferences, beauty, sports, music, and above all, the unique Greek hospitality,” an announcement read.
Representatives of the region will introduce Attica’s diverse tourism product during scheduled B2B meetings with major Austrian tour operators.
The trade fair runs until January 18.
