Air France’s Gourmet “Secrets” are Revealed in New Book
Food columnist Véronique André takes a trip down memory lane and looks back on 80 years of great French cuisine served on board Air France flights.
The new book, published by Éditions Gallimard, is entitled Haute cuisine, high flying chefs and Air France and reveals the company’s secrets to readers, from the first gourmet flights aboard the Super Constellation in the 1950s to more recent collaborations with great French Michelin-starred chefs.
Véronique André portrays an airline endeavoring to highlight the best of fine French cuisine throughout the world.
Readers can also discover many new recipes served on board and designed by Alain Ducasse, Joël Robuchon, Guy Martin and many other names in fine dining.
Haute cuisine, high flying chefs and Air France will be available in all French book stores as of 5 January 2015 and via online orders for the rest of the world.
Véronique André is a food columnist for Le Figaro and Valeurs Actuelles. She is the author of several books on gastronomy including La Cuisine de l’Elysée and À la table de Monaco. She is a chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
