Acropolis Museum To Stay Open On Winter Mondays

The Acropolis Museum has announced that it will operate on winter opening times as of 1 November 2014 until 31 March 2015, Mondays included.

The museum had been closed on Mondays from the date it opened in 2009. However, this past April, due to constantly growing number of visitors and increasing interest, the museum had announced that it would open on Mondays until 31 October.

According to an announcement, the Acropolis Museum will continue to open on Mondays this winter – from 9am to 5pm – in order to accommodate “the increased number of visitors in Greece during this time period.”

The opening hours of the Acropolis Museum during the winter will be as follows:

Monday to Thursday: 9am – 5pm
Friday: 9am – 10 pm
Santurday & Sunday: 9am – 8pm
