Pandrossou Street Party In Athens To Take TBEX Travel Bloggers On Interactive Journey Of Tastes & Experiences
TBEX Europe 2014, the biggest international gathering of travel bloggers, writers, and new media content creators will take place in Athens, Greece, on 23-25 October 2014.
On this occasion, the shop owners of “Pandrossou Street Market” in collaboration with the Athens Traders’ Association are organizing the farewell ceremony on 25 October.
Where?
On Pandrossou Street itself, from 7pm to 9pm!
Pandrossou Street (The Plaka) is a main commercial street in Athens that gathers 110 stores – filled with traditional objects, souvenirs and antiques – and can be considered itself as a journey through time and history.
The shop owners in cooperation with municipal and cultural institutions are organizing the street event to offer TBEX delegates “a tasteful, artistic and interactive wandering along the street.”
Through the outdoor workshops, the tasting of traditional products, participation in a specialty game, music and dance happenings, the visitors will enjoy the Athenian hospitality and have a modern tourist experience. Shop owners and local institutions will give delegates the unique opportunity to discover an alternative and authentic side of the everyday life in the center of Athens.
The evening will include a performance by the Greek National Opera, a DJ set by En Lefko radio, and the Greek Music Ensemble of the City of Athens, all combining to create a festive atmosphere for the Greek capital’s new friends.
But the fun doesn’t end there. From 9 pm onwards all are invited to the nearby hotspot Aghia Irini Square and have a free drink offered by the neighboring bars and restaurants that surround Saint Irene’s church.
The event is part of the hospitality program for TBEX Athens delegates initiated by the Municipality of Athens and the Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau.
