German Travelers Trust Greece Again

Greece remains among the favorite tourism destinations of the Germans even though the summer is over, according to German online travel agency Opodo.

The main reason the Germans opt for Greece is the good relationship between quality and value for money.

“Due to the economic recovery and the security and political stability in recent years, travelers trust the country again,” the head of public relations Opodo, Bettina Lemessier, said.

Ms. Lemessier said that Greece “persuades” travelers with its culture and unspoiled natural beauty. “Especially in autumn, one can live a wonderful experience,” she added.

According to Opodo, four Greek destinations appear among the 20 most popular holiday spots of German travelers this autumn: Crete (fourth place), Rhodes (sixth place), Kos (17th place) and Corfu (20th place).

The Germans favorite destination is Mallorca, Spain, followed by Antalya, Turkey and Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands.
