Crete, Greece, Honored At Serbian Film Festival For “Incredible Crete: Surprisingly yours” Campaign

Crete’s successful tourism campaign “Incredible Crete: Surprisingly yours!” was recently honored at the 6th International Festival of Tourism and Environmental Film Festival Silver Lake Tourfilm Festival – SILAFEST ’14.

The ceremony was held 31 August-6 September on the banks of the Danube, in Veliko Gradiste, Serbia.

The Region of Crete was honored with the “Silver Wave – Best Tourism Film” award for the best tourism film internationally in the category of tourism and ecology film for the video “Crete: All the world on one island.”

The region was also honored with the “Blue Danube – Best Art & Tourism Film” award for the “Crete: Incredible History” video. The Blue Danube award is given in every special category of tourism film – Wine, Sports, Cooking, Religious Tourism, Cultural Tourism, Art and Tourism.

The festival was held under the auspices of the International Committee of the tourism films festival – CIFFT, and brought together the most eminent authors, not only from Europe but also around the world.
