Daily Express: 10 Things To Do On Paxi In Greece
The travel section of the online edition of the UK’s Daily Express includes a feature on the Greek Island of Paxi, the smallest of the Ionian islands. This is an island that has been overlooked by mass tourist hoards.
The newspaper’s writer Jane Utting experienced the quiet life on the “sleepy Greek island” and enjoyed herself to the fullest.
“Just 10 miles south of Corfu, this smallest of the Ionian islands has bucket-loads of old-fashioned charm – there’s no water parks, karaoke bars or large hotel complexes,” she notes.
Throughout her article, the writer describes the island’s best and recommends 10 things for visitors to do on Paxi (or Paxoi).
Her tips include experiencing traditional Greek dancing, watching the sunset, buying olive oil, having a picnic on Erimitis beach, wandering the many old goat tracks to discover forgotten villages and attending a recital during the annual Paxi Music Festival (29 August – 6 September).
