European Port Officials To Meet In Piraeus, Greece, In June 2014

The Piraeus Port Authority (OLP) will host the annual informal general meeting of the European ports, organized by the European Union’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE).

This year’s general meeting is titled “Ports: An Engine for Growth” and will take place 16-17 June at the OLP conference room.

Topics for discussion will include state aid rules, social dialogue, issues of environmental impact and EU policy developments on issues of the port industry.

The meeting in Piraeus will welcome top EU executives and managers of the largest ports in Europe.

The annual informal general meeting of DG MOVE is considered one of the biggest events in the field of the port industry.
