Date Announced For Greek Tourism Awards 2014 In Athens

Tourism Awards 2014: Tuesday 8 April 2014 – 7:30pm – Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso

Boussias_tourism_awards_1The evaluation process of the nominations for the awards that will recognize the best practices and most innovative initiatives in Greek tourism has come to an end.

According to organizers Boussias Communications and Hotel & Restaurant magazine, the interest expressed by Greek tourism enterprises was very high, considering the number of entries and the fact that many companies submitted multiple applications.

The 12-member independent judging committee, chaired by Nikos Skoulas, evaluated practices and strategies of some of the largest companies in the Greek tourism sector.

The Tourism Awards 2014 award ceremony will take place Tuesday 8 April 2014, at 7:30pm, at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso.

The awards will be presented by Greek actress Mania Papadimitriou and guests will include Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni, presidents and senior executives of all tourism associations and agencies in the country, along with many celebrities and entrepreneurs.

According to the judging committee’s chairman, Mr. Skoulas, the promotion of innovative measures and good practices of agencies and enterprises is expected to have a very positive effect on the quality and competitiveness of the Greek tourism industry.

“The excellence awards for the design and performance of innovative ideas, are not only a means of recognition and encouragement to protagonists, but also an example and source of inspiration to carry out such practices,” he said.

The Tourism Awards 2014 will be held under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization.
