Travel Giant TUI Confirms Interest In Greek Market
TUI Travel may invest further in the Greek market, according to the German company’s chief executive, Friedrich Joussen.
The travel company’s interest in the Greek market was confirmed during a meeting Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni held with Mr. Joussen on the sidelines of the ITB tourism exhibition in Berlin.
Mr. Joussen informed the Greek tourism minister that initial indicators confirm that German travelers are interested in Greece as a destination to spend their holidays this season.
During the meeting, both sides expressed interest for a closer cooperation and agreed to launch initiatives to help boost tourist traffic to Greece and enrich the Greek tourism product to be even more appealing to the German market.
TUI Deutschland has a leading position in the German travel market and has key subsidiaries operating in tourism such as Hapag-Lloyd (cruises) & TUI Cruises.
