Free Guided Tours To Athens’ Archaeological Sites & Neighborhoods

The City of Athens Culture, Youth and Sports Organization and the Association of Licensed Tourist Guides are offering the Greek capital’s residents the chance to meet the cultural richness and beauty of Athens through free guided tours by experienced and qualified tour guides.

The free tours run until March.

Saturday 22 February 2014
– Byzantine Churches, Time: 10:30 am
(up to 60 people)
Kerameikos, Time: 10:30 am
(up to 40 people)

Saturday 1 March
North Slope of the Acropolis, Time: 10:30 am
(50 people)

Sunday 2 March
Pnyka, The Hill of the Nymphs, Time: 10:30 am
(up to 70 people)

Sunday 2 March
National History Museum, Time: 10:30 am
(up to 60 people)

Saturday 8 March
Athens Trilogy (Academy of Athens-Athens University-National Library of Greece), Time: 10:30 am
(up to 80 people)

Saturday 15 March 15
– Walk – Aiolou Street, Time: 10:30 am
(up to 35 people )

Sunday 16 March
– Psyrri (or Psiri) District, Time: 10:30 am
(up to 80 people)

Sunday 23 March
Ancient Market (Agora) of Athens, Time: 10:30 am
(up to 80 people)

Sunday 30 March
– Temple of Olympian Zeus (Olympieion), Time: 10:30 am
(up to 40 people)

– Priority order will be strictly kept. RSVP: 210 3313038 & 210 3240472 (Ms. Valkana – Municipal Gallery of Athens, Monday-Friday – 10am-1pm)
– The entrance ticket for the museums and archaeological sites will be payable by the tour participants.
– In case of bad weather, outdoor tours will not take place.
