Air NZ Celebrates Double Win At World Travel Awards
Air New Zealand celebrated a double victory at the prestigious World Travel Awards at the Asia & Australasia Gala Ceremony held recently in Dubai.
The carrier has been voted Australasia’s leading airline for the fifth year in a row and its new Koru Lounge at Christchurch International Airport has scooped the prize for Australasia’s leading airline lounge.
Air New Zealand customer experience general manager, Calum Laming, said it was a real honor to enjoy such success up against some of the world’s biggest airlines.
“To be named as the leading airline in Australasia for the fifth consecutive year is an incredible achievement and a true testament to the diligent work of all Air New Zealand staff,” Mr. Laming said.
World Travel Awards president and founder Graham Cooke said Air New Zealand “continually raises the bar in offering the highest standards of service and care whilst ensuring a uniquely personal New Zealand experience for all its customers.”
Over four hundred senior travel decision-makers from across Asia and Australasia attended one of the most important events in the travel industry calendar. The World Travel Awards are widely regarded as the “Oscars of the Travel Industry.”
