Survey: Greeks Go Online To Book Air Travel
One in two Greeks prefer to book airline tickets via the Internet, according to a recent telephone survey on the Greek market by online travel agency Travelplanet24. The travel agency carried out the survey to examine the behavior and attitude of Greeks that travel by air.
According to the survey, out of the total of travelers that make online bookings (57 percent), 31 percent chose an online travel agency while the remaining 26 percent chose airline websites.
The majority of users (86 percent) search and compare prices from more than two websites.
Travelplanet24 said the main criteria when choosing a website to book tickets are ticket prices and website usability. Users also give special attention to a website’s credibility.
Another important factor the survey showed was the ratio of the amount of trips of Greek travelers. In 2012, trips taken by Greeks decreased by 2.4 points.
