ESEE Welcomes SETE As Social Partner
“The participation of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE) in social dialogue is a positive development, as it will incorporate consultation on the key sector of tourism that is expected to be one of the pillars of development recovery,” the National Confederation of Hellenic Commerce (ESEE) recently said in a statement.
The statement follows the announcement of Labor Minister Yiannis Vroutsis that SETE would be included in the consultation process to determine Greece’s minimum wage and the National General Collective Labor Agreement.
“Today, while the Greek economy suffers from an unprecedented and intense crisis, we need even more powerful institutionalized structures to maintain social cohesion that is threatened by the challenges of the recession,” the confederation said.
ESEE said Greek commerce welcomes tourism and looks forward to a fruitful cooperation for the benefit of all.
