Cyprus Airways Presents Domestic Routes For Greece
“We are here and we have come to stay… We are not here just for one season,” the president of Cyprus Airways, Stavros Stavrou, said yesterday, 1 November, in Athens, while presenting the airline’s new domestic routes for Greece.
As of 28 October, Cyprus Airways made a new dynamic opening in the Greek market connecting Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion (Crete) and Rhodes with 112 domestic flights per week onboard Airbus A320 aircraft:
– Athens-Thessaloniki-Athens, 3 flights daily.
– Athens-Heraklion-Athens, 2 flights daily.
– Athens-Rhodes-Athens, one flight daily.
– Thessaloniki-Heraklion-Thessaloniki, one flight daily.
– Thessaloniki-Rhodes-Thessaloniki, 3 weekly flights.
– Heraklion-Rhodes-Heraklion, 4 weekly flights.
Also, from 28 October, the airline’s routes from Greece to Cyprus now total 30 weekly flights:
– Athens-Larnaca-Athens, 3 flights daily.
– Thessaloniki-Larnaca-Thessaloniki, 1 flight daily (except Wednesdays).
– Heraklion-Larnaca-Heraklion, 3 weekly flights.
In regards to the airline’s pricing policy, the president of Cyprus Airways assured ticket prices would be competitive.
When asked to comment on Aegean Airlines’ plans to acquire Olympic Air from Marfin Investment Group (MIG), Mr. Stavrou said he wasn’t worried.
“We are not afraid of healthy competition… There is room for everyone to offer to the passenger,” he said.
