Marine Tourism Professionals Invited To Exchange Ideas With Greek Government
All parties associated with marine tourism have been invited to submit proposals and suggestions to the ministries of tourism and shipping for preparation of a draft law to be tabled in Parliament, the Tourism Ministry said yesterday, 2 October.
Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and Shipping and Aegean Minister Kostis Mousouroulis intend to form a unified strategy to upgrade the country’s tourism product and services and provide solutions to the industry’s decades-long problems.
According to the official letter signed by both ministries to marine tourism professionals, the aim of the draft law is to create a business friendly environment in Greece that could play a fundamental role in attracting high-income tourists.
“Marine tourism is among the immediate priorities of both ministries,” the press release said.
All proposals should be submitted online by Thursday, 11 October 2012.
