“Athens Flying Week” Kicks Off With Aerophobia Seminar
Athens Flying Week, designed to become the major flying event for the city of Athens, will kick off tomorrow, Monday, 24 September, with a conference on aviation issues and a seminar on aerophobia to help people that have a fear of flying and avoid air travel.
The conference will be held at the Caravel hotel from 9am to 8pm.
The seminar will cover many practical aspects of the aerophobia phenomenon and familiarize participants with flight procedures and the airplane itself, which remains the safest means of transportation.
The peak of Athens Flying Week will be the Air Show, scheduled to take place at Tatoi Airfield on 29-30 September, where the sky will be filled with world-renowned pilots that include Francesco Fornabaio, Luca Bertossio, WeFly! Team, Francesco Martone, Aircraft Models, Elias Sofianos, Romanian Aero Club and Parachuting Display Team.
During the weekend, the Tatoi airfield will also host a series of ground events, activities & happenings.
Athens Flying Week will take place 24-30 September 2012 and for one week, Syntagma Square will be the event’s reference point with a specially designed venue.
