Historical Poseidonion Reopens On Spetses
The historical Poseidonion, located in Dapia on Spetses Island, is in full operation as of this month following a luxurious renovation that lasted five years.
The historical building of the Poseidonion, a project of architect Panagiotis Zizilas, was completed in 1914 and was renowned for its eclectique architecture of southern France, with references to Monte Carlo, Cannes and the Italian Riviera.
Today’s version of the Poseidonion displays a sense of modern classic with nostalgic elegance and discreet luxury, offering all the comforts of a modern five-star hotel.
Each of the 55 rooms of both the historical building and the newly-built section are designed separately with elements and colors that give each a unique character.
The hotel’s traditional Mediterranean spa is once again in function, as the Poseidonion was the first hotel spa in Greece at the start of last century.
Also, the restaurant situated on the hotel’s legendary terrace is expected to be the hotspot of the Argosaronic Gulf once again.
